Jessica & Mitchell's Walnut Grove Garden Wedding | SC Wedding Photographer

Jessica and Mitchell got married on a perfect, crisp Fall day in October under a grove of beautiful trees at Walnut Grove Farm & Garden Center. Their friends and families, spread out across the Carolinas, Florida, and up North all converged near Spartanburg, SC for a truly fantastic celebration! What struck me most were the obvious close friendships that both the bride and groom had with their wedding party and guests. The photographs show just how close everyone was and how much they all cherished being a part of Jessica and Mitchell’s big day. There is so much laughter and joy!

When I first met Jessica and Mitchell back in March of 2019 for their engagement session, I knew instantly that we were kindred spirits. First and foremost, Jessica is a teacher, Disney fan, and LOVES books (Check out some of her table centerpieces representing her favorite books and her love of Beauty and the Beast!). Second, she said she would be the last of her friends to get married, and boy, do I know that story well! Third, Mitch works in I.T., just like my own husband … so by the time their wedding day arrived, I felt like I was photographing the wedding of dear friends! And that’s Jessica’s personality…she doesn’t meet a stranger. There was so much love and laughter in the air, and the rain that decided to visit during their reception did not dampen anyone’s spirits!

There were also so many significant details and personal touches, many of them provided by friends and family and even made by the bride, who runs her own vinyl shop! Some of Jessica’s most treasured details included photographs of loved ones that had already passed on in their “best dressed.” The sweetheart table was also very unique and elaborate, including china that was Jessica’s great-grandmother's when she got married at the age of 15!
