Bridget & Daniel's 1932 Barn Wedding, a.k.a. “The One Where Bridget Gets Married” | Charlotte Wedding Photographer

Bridget & Daniel met on a coed softball team after a coworker reached out to Bridget because her team needed another girl. Bridget stepped in to sub, and the rest is history! Their first date and engagement were very low key and simple, which is just how Bridget describes their wedding. Daniel proposed over morning coffee in their kitchen after 4 years of dating and then, after 5 years together, they got married!

I got to know Bridget through work (we both teach Language Arts at Oakridge Middle School), and I met Daniel last Fall at their engagement session. They are one of those couples that just seem so relaxed together and FUN to hang out with! Bridget’s best friend Ceili came along to help mind Bridget and Daniel’s fur baby, and she was also the officiant in their wedding! One of my favorite things about their big day was the bracelet that Daniel gave Bridget the day of their wedding: it said, “You’re My Lobster.” I can’t think of a better way to describe them…they are definitely each other’s lobster!

Bridget & Daniel’s wedding was held on a perfect Fall day at the 1932 Barn at Hodges Family Farm in Charlotte, NC. The 1932 Barn is one of the most impeccably-run event venues I have ever had the pleasure of working with! Lori and the rest of the staff communicated via earpieces and made things happen almost magically. All anyone had to do was ask one of them, and someone immediately took care of things! They told me from the beginning that they would do whatever I needed because the photos “are one of the most important parts of the day.” I could not have asked for a more supportive group of people to work around!

From all the “Friends” nods to the Hot Sauce Band’s fantastic covers of 90s music at the reception, this was a wedding that had a ton of personal touches and even more fun! Bridget even wore a gorgeous two-piece dress that had a removable skirt, making dancing at her reception a breeze! And there was a LOT of dancing! Her SIX flowergirls almost stole the show all day long and danced the night away until they dropped. (Be sure to take a look at the last photo in the series below.)
