Christmas Card Craze

It’s almost that time of year for the CHRISTMAS CARD CRAZE!

When I was a child, I loved looking through the stack of Christmas cards my mom piled on our coffee table in the den, especially the ones that came with photos! I enjoyed seeing how all my cousins and family friends were growing up. But that was back in the day where having an actual printed photo card was insanely expensive, so there weren’t that many to look through!

Nowadays, we have a plethora of companies out there who have made it suuuuper easy to design Christmas and Holiday cards with your photos, and there are so many beautiful designs to choose from! I partner with a couple of these companies, and I’m going share some amazing offers from them with you! But first…what do YOU do with all these beautiful cards you get in the mail each holiday season? Here are a few ideas!

  1. If you make personal photo cards every year, always keep a couple (so you have a copy of the front/back) and put them in a scrapbook. Better yet, put them in a scrapbook for yourself AND each of your children so that you can pass on the memories one day!

  2. Hang them on the fridge with holiday magnets! But if you run out of space…

  3. Hang them on a wall or door You can use a strand of Christmas lights with wooden clips to make it more festive, or hole punch them at the top and hang them from a strand of ribbon or twine. I tape mine onto the glass French doors leading into my office, and I make sure the ones with people my kids know are low enough for them to look at. They love seeing all their friends and family!

  4. Create a wreath out of them! Buy one of the wreaths from Hobby Lobby or Michael’s, and then stick the cards in between the branches as you receive them. It makes a very personal and festive decoration!

  5. SEND YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER ONE! I know I LOVE seeing what people do with the portraits I take for them, and I keep every single card my clients send me. It fills my heart with joy to see you sharing those precious memories that I have been able to document for you!
