Last Fall, Logan booked a mini-session at Harley Farms for herself and her boyfriend, Caiden. Little did she know, Caiden secretly reached out to me a few days later and told me he was planning to propose at their session! I have had the honor of photographing this couple’s proposal, their engagement photos, Logan’s bridal portraits, their rehearsal dinner, and finally their wedding! What an honor it was to document such a special time in their lives!

Logan and Caiden have known each other for almost ten years and dated for almost five. They met in 2015 at a bonfire, but didn’t start dating until he swiped up on a Snapchat story in 2020. They could not be more perfect together!

Logan and Caiden got married on October 5, 2024 at the Cedar Creek Ranch wedding venue, in Waxhaw, NC. It was a perfect sunny, warm, October day! Cedar Creek Ranch is a gorgeous barn on an open space at the end of a wooded drive, with a spacious bridal suite, pond with water features, several spaces for ceremonies, and a huge reception tent! It’s the perfect spot for a couple wanting a venue that has plenty of space, amenities, and a rustic yet sophisticated vibe!

The wedding day began in the bridal suite, where Logan and her bridesmaids got ready. There were several sentimental gifts exchanged, including a painting Logan had made of Logan, her sister Linzie, her mom, and her grandmother, all in their wedding dresses. Logan had a special photo sewn into her dad’s tie. Caiden also received a pair of custom cuff links from his parents! After she was ready, Logan had a first look with her dad, which was such a sweet moment. Then, she headed down to the doorway of the barn for a “first touch” with Caiden, where they shared a private reading of vows they had written for each other.

The sun shone brightly over Logan and Caiden’s wedding ceremony, which began at 4pm. The warmth of the day perfectly matched the excitement in the air, as friends and family gathered to witness their heartfelt union. They exchanged rings and vows and completed a beautiful rope braid, symbolizing the strength and unity of their bond.

After the ceremony, guests gathered at cocktail hour while Logan and Caiden dug up some brandy they had buried nearby. (Logan’s mom had conveniently included some wet wipes so that Caiden could wipe off any mud after digging…genius!) Family and wedding party portraits were taken, and then the reception began! Like her sister’s wedding entrance a couple of years ago, Logan and Caiden’s wedding party had some unique and fun entrances planned, from her brother-in-law Parker being wheeled in by wheelbarrow to her pregnant sister Linzie “belly-bumping” with her escort! First dances were shared, toasts were made, and celebration ensued for the rest of the evening, which was full of dancing, laughter, singing, a chair lift for both the bride and groom, and even a surprise breakdance/worm performed by the bride herself! After the party, Logan and Caiden shared a final, private dance together before their bubble exit.

It was a spectacular day for everyone who attended (as well as the photographers)! Congratulations, Logan and Caiden! I wish you many blessings in your life together!
