Catie & Kishon's Dairy Barn Wedding

Catie and Kishon met when they both swiped right on Tinder in 2020, and their first date was for ice cream and slushies at the Farmer’s Market! Kishon proposed on the beach during a family vacation, and the rest is history!

Their October wedding day began with a couple of very special first looks: Catie with her nephews and then with her dad. Catie recalls, “The first look with my nephews was so special. I was 17 when Isaac was born. My parents helped watch him while my sister and brother-in-law worked. I was living at home and always with him. I was 21 was Ivan was born and was in college. I was always coming home to hang out with my nephews. They were the ring bearers as well, and I am so happy they were a part of my day!”

Catie & Kishon got married in the loft of the Dairy Barn at Anne Springs Close Greenway in Fort Mill. Her soon-to-be brother-in-law officiated the ceremony. One of the biggest surprises of the ceremony was the song that Catie chose to walk down the aisle with her dad to; it was her mom and dad’s wedding song. Surrounded by family and friends, their day was perfect…the weather could not have been more beautiful, and there was the most dreamy sunset before their reception began.

I absolutely loved the unique color pallet Catie chose! It was a perfect Fall wedding, with lots of greens and warm colors. Catie’s flowers were so vibrant, and her dress was gorgeous…and that veil! Absolutely stunning. Her bridesmaids wore dresses that would definitely be able to be worn again and again, and there were so many personal touches! Catie’s rings were her grandmother’s, who passed away when she was in second grade. She wore a pearl bracelet she received from her other grandmother, who passed away in 2020.

From the giant Jenga and Connect Four to the cookie cake, there was something for everyone at the reception. Once everyone was satisfied after a delicious barbeque meal, the party began! There was such a wonderful mix of music, from jazz to hip hop, and by the end of the evening, shoes were kicked off, and everyone was dancing and singing (and playing air guitar) together! Catie and Kishon ended their happy celebration in white “wedding” kicks and sweatsuits, which they wore for their grand exit under a tunnel of sparklers.

Catie and Kishon, thank you so much for entrusting me to capture your wedding day! It was such a lovely day, and such a blessing to be able to witness your love for each other!
